The eponymous publication, published as the Volume 9 (XXIX) of the Proceedings of the National Library of Latvia in September 2022 features articles based on research papers presented at the symposium as well as additional contributions. Focusing on photographic collections in the US and Latvia, the volume covers a broad range of topics examining photography as cultural heritage and its preservation, research, and interpretation. Its intended audience includes museum, library, and archive professionals who work with photographic heritage, visual culture, and the arts. The volume serves as a practical resource for those instructors and students in humanities and social sciences who are interested in visual culture and photographic heritage as well as the broader field of the 19th and 20th century history.
