Call for Proposals: Photography Network’s CAA 2023 Sponsored Session

Would you like to chair or co-chair Photography Network’s sponsored session at next year's College Art Association conference in New York? As a CAA Affiliated Society, Photography Network fosters discussion, research, and new approaches to the study and practice of photography in its relation to art, culture, society, and history, and mounts a yearly session at the conference. Proposals should include a title and short description of the session (250 words max), along with the proposer's short CV(s) (3 pages max). Photography Network seeks to include new voices, and we encourage early-career scholars to make submissions. Chairs of Photography Network’s sponsored session must be current members of both Photography Network and CAA by February 2023. You can read more about CAA's call for proposals here. The deadline to submit your proposal is April 20th and should be sent by email to: photography.network.board@gmail.com. The selected proposal will be determined by April 23rd and communicated to all applicants, so that prospective co-chairs can still meet the CAA open call deadline of April 26th.
